Hi everyone! I made this song with FL Studio. It took me only three hours so don't expect amazement, and I'm a complete amateur in FL Studio. It's my second song with FL Studio; I hope you like it!

Maybe in the world's worst NES game, this could be a sea theme. hahaha. I see you have yet to discover the world of reverb at this point. There's a good melody hidden in there somewhere, but you kinda ruin it with the variations of it :P

Step responds:

True, true!

Don't worry, I'll discover reverb eventually :P. Also I can't believe I thought FL Slayer sounded GOOD at the time...

Thank you for the review!

Prety decent

~~REVIEW~~
Hmm this was great i love the guitar and differant sounds in this one, there was a good amount of mixture in this piece, kinda reminded me of {ZELDA} somewhat, i do however wish you built it up more it had a more straight forward tempo, and needed a push there somewhere, so if anything you could improve on this it would probably be more build up and pushing it over the top, but besides that i liked the mixture of sounds and liked the guitar in there, anyways nice job.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
more push, more build up

~X~

Step responds:

That guitar is one of the most overused preset sounds that came with FL Studio ;D.

Again, I agree with you that this lacks any 'oomph' or a buildup. These songs are very old and I really didn't know what I was doing at the time. In fact, in this song I desperately wanted to add some drums but I didn't know how xD.

Thanks for the review. Going back to all these old songs sure is giving me nostalgia, haha.

7th saga!

This is what this reminds me of - hahaha it sounds so snes.. and .. oh god.. SLAYER! Oh dear hahaha... Not bad for your second song tho - peaks a little though - but not as bad as your other songs did.. good use of stock fl studio stuff - but you might want to invest in some vstis.. fl studio isn't so great in what it actually COMES with.. I learned that after a coupel rounds with their preset instruments - I eventually just switched to soundfonts - and eventually vstis - and that's where I stayed :)

and only 3 hours? Pah! I spend like DAYS on songs - but that's all the production that goes into them..

anways I am off!

-shawn-

Step responds:

Haha, thanks! Slayer sucks :P. As for peaking, when I made this I didn't even know what it meant xP. I was using a limiter on my master channel so it shouldn't be so loud, but the fact that the 3xOsc flute is close to a sine wave will make it peak and clip, although you should know that :P. Yeah me too, I switched to soundfonts before VST's as well ^^. Hehe, thanks for the review!

kinda cool

this reminds me about some old games i've played. Some of them is runescape, miniclipgames and games from the norwegian site 1001spill. It reminds me mostly of the sea and games within fishing and stuff, Tales of pirates and Karamja (a town in runescape) is some of them.
Kinda cool i must say, but there's no beat in it, you should make a kinda beat witch will match.

4/5 9/10

im not good at english, if you dont understand everything just tell me=)

Step responds:

Alright thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. It's true, I should've added some drums to add the rythm, but I'm not too good with percussion on FL Studio. Thanks again for the 9 and good luck with your own songs! ;)
P.S.: Your English isn't THAT bad, lol.

Actually I find FL Studio really great and easy to use. I don't see what you mean by limited :S. Anyway, thanks for the review :).
