This is a project that has taken me about a month to finish because I just cant seem to like it. Finally some what content with it, I figured I would put it up to get some feed back. Some one suggested on the last song that I make the drums a bit more bassy, so I added some SFX to the drum track to make it sound more.
Again, for some reason there's like 20 seconds after the track of nothingness, sorry.
And the verdict is...
This piece is competent but uninspired. The drum and synth work well together but the dissonant string just doesn't work with the rest. That may be you intention but even in that case I am not sure if it is a good call. Also the drumline is good but very repetitive. You got a good foundation here, just need to experiment more.
Thank you for the advice, there are reasons why it took me a long time to feel somewhat ok with this, and all the advice helps out. I'm still working on a transition from rock drums to something that works with my synth, though in the end I may need to knick the live drums and settle for a drum machine :(
