I originally wrote this as a birthday present for my favourite actress, whose fansite was compiling a mix CD for her 24th birthday back in '07. It ended up being the only specially-written song and one of only two self-authored songs total on the disk. It's symphonic electronica, which is basically the marriage of Ambient and Classical. Eventually I released it to the public on 25 December 2007 after re-mastering it. It got decent reviews on ChilloutWorld.com.
There were a few things I tried differently in this song. One was this delectable ice bell sound on a free VST plug called "iloSynth" that I just HAD to use (actually sounds quite similar to the ambient shots from Frost Walrus stage in Mega Man X4). On top of that, there are two different lead sections, one I made with Logic ES2 and the other with one of GTG Synths' many awesome freebies. Usually there is only one lead section at a time, however here this is not the case. Also, I'll remember this song as the one where I finally learned how to use compression. :-p
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
