I KNOW, static dawn is a kind of gay name. but what the hell, that's not the point. my name's kiran leonard, and im 13 years old, and i'm working on one of my first truly serious albums, and this is one of the tracks static dawn is centred around the sample of the opening guitar riff from a song by the post-rock band red sparowes. i put my own guitar harmonies around it and a drum beat and mess about with it. i know the beginning sounds quite sudden, but it's carrying on from the predecessing track of the album, altar sines. it's from the same album as polydeuces, big mister surgeon man and satellites of ecstatic colour (3 previously uploaded songs), and will be available on last.fm sometime in 2009. while you're at it, check out my more experimental stuff at www.last.fm/music/Kiran+L eonard . love to you all, and enjoy song, kk?

nicely done. and i think the name fits the song since you can hear some static in the background but the song is trying to push the static down... sry if it just sounded like a bad pun. and to me ago means nothing. you made this song and it sounds great. i really enjoyed the backward play in the song, gives a nice touch.
p.s. right now its lunch time over here as i right this message. which reminds me, i'm hungry..... food ^^

just to rule something out here people - it's called static dawn because in my mind it sounds like 65daysofstatic, a sheffield math rock band, and that red sparowes song that i sampled and mentioned in the author comments is called The Soundless Dawn Came Alive As Cities Began To Mark The Horizon... i know, that's a hellishly long title, but that's why it's called static dawn. HOWEVER.... i kind of prefer your interpretation ;)
