Pretty good.

Not to sure how to explain it, the whole track seemed rather linear, as in - there was a lack of pitch diversity and progression. A good tune and rhythm, I enjoyed listening to it. Keep up the good work.

Kind regards -

The Song is very nice

It may go to the best 30.

With some changes...

this could be a NG hit. really!!!

The melody from the very beginning is very very catchy. What changes would I make to this?

I would make the beginning slowler. I think that if you put down the bpm from 00:00 to 0:26 (only a little bit) the result would be an impressing beginning of the song. Then you could use a powerfull gunmashine effect and keep the same melody, with more speed and a new bass.

That's another thing very important. The bass of the track. The bass of a track gives an overall impression of the song because it almost shows what style of music are you hearing. I think that the bass that you used here is very impersonal. If you change it and use another bass with a trance touch, or a house or electro touch, the song would gain much.

And there's no much to say. Only some changes in the EQ, a break in the middle of the song using only the piano melody very slow, and nothing more.

Good work. I'm waiting to hear your final version of this

Keep it up Nicolas!!!

It takes my attention :)

i won't write a review as big as below me, because i am bad at writing reviews :p
just in a short way then.. i like everything in it, you can easily reach the 5 minutes with this song, .. that means, I would love to hear the full song! :p ;-)
i can't give you really hints or help, because i just have got 5 songs made, i don't do it already long time, BUT i got a good song on the way! :D much better then what i got on NG already :p
gave ya a 5/5 and a 10, will fav you too bcause i wanna hear the full song! :p
let me know something when you got it!

Not bad at all!

Speaking of underrated... I guess you were hit by some unjust low score... I think I'm gonna start a crusade about this.

Well... This is a quite interesting song you've got there. I always like piano arpeggios, so I might be biased.
I would make a couple of suggestions though:
-Mastering: The output level is just too low. Use a compressor or a maximizer in the output channel to make it louder. Don't just raise the master, you wouldn't want clipping, now, would you?
-Dynamics: Even though the piano melody is just fine, it lacks dynamics. Try randomizing the velocities, especially in the second part. If you have a midi controller (even better), record it!
-Samples: The piano sounds fine, the drums are good enough (you can find better), but the strings are unnatural. See if you find something more natural sounding. Perhaps something a bit less aggressive.
-Mixing: I'm listening through headphones currently, so I won't risk commenting on Eq (it sounds fine to me). The mixing levels are just fine. Don't touch them! The balance is a bit to the right (due to the piano, so you could try setting it right by compensating with the strings panned harder to the left.

Otherwise, this is actually quite good and promising!!! If you finish it, I'd love to hear it and give you further feedback!

DJ-Seri responds:
