love it

This is very awesome. Never have i heard such a good mix.

SessileNomad responds:

The piano fits in nicely...

Overall the song was quite nice, but i got the feeling this is more a techno track rather then drum n bass. maybe thats because the snare is more trance like, and there is too many kicks in the beat itself. still, it can be considered a good piece of DnB. you might try to put some bass in in the future, as there is almost no bassline at all. i still like it, pads sound great, keep it up ^^

SessileNomad responds:

yeah i didnt want to put a real heavy bass like a reese in this, i wanted the focus to be on the piano

yeah i ussually do techno so its not surprising that some techno might have leeked in here when i made it, plus god old fashion 4x4 drums sound good in all elecronic music really

and yeah the snare is somthing you wont here in a "real" dnb track, it is much more trancish

thanks for the review, peace out

Thats awsome.... i can say that this is one of best audio on NG.
The beats perfectly fit togeather and i love the piano and drum pattern.
PS: i can listen is for couple of hours again and again

SessileNomad responds:

thanks very much im glad you liked it, ive never worked so hard on a piece b4

thx for review

No DnB, but DnP

I guess you could classify this as Drum and Piano, a new DnB subgenre. :p

It's well composed, something different than the 'standard' DnB. Nice chords, good length, variation all around. Good job, good track. Although I do think the end's a bit to sudden. You could stretch it out with a more complex piano pattern.

I think the game you're referring you with 'Boreas' is Golden Sun. Am I correct? The most powerful Mercury (water/ice-type) summon was Boreas, and it was chilly as hell. Also damaging as hell. :3

Keep it up, I think I'll listen to some of your other stuff aswell later on. ;)

Kind regards,

SessileNomad responds:

ahh congratz you guessed my favorite game evah, or you went to gogle, and typed in boreas, but either way great job

yeah ide call the dnp, in fact i will refer to all of my songs like that asdnp from now on, horray new subgenre

Woah Dude

That's awesome

I wish I could compose notes and chord progressions like that
Then I'm pretty sure I could take care of the rest

Any advice for me?

SessileNomad responds:

well, part of the reason i can make piano melodies so easily is beacause i have a piano two feet from me at all times, which makes it alot easier and much faster than pluging in the notes on fl

my advice if you cant get come sort of keyboard, is to just do what i did when i first started, experiment

i can tell your all set on drums and stuff like that, but you just need to spend as much time as it takes to make your melodies, and dont stop experimenting till you got somthin good

fl is just practice, just like any other instument, just gotta practice, practice, practice till your hands fall off, then practice some more

pm me when you make your next track, i wanna check out your new stuff as it comes
