This does IREM justice!
It really sucks that there are too few people that remember that company and what they accomplished. It sucks even more that they closed down last year. I mean, aside from R-Type, they also made Moon Patrol, Gunforce, In The Hunt, Kickle Cubicle, and Ninja Baseball Batman. With that being said...
Instrumentation: I really love the samples that you used here, which enhanced the original's easy listening feel while giving it an identity of it's own. This can be summed up as progressive, dream, and melodic Trance meets Ambient. Nothing else needs to be said about this part.
Composition: While this uses the score of the original song, it takes enough liberties to keep it unique and fresh. On the other hand, I'm glad that you didn't take the score and make it into something barely recognizable. I mean, what you did with the end was really clever and it kept a nice rhythm.
Other: Aside from being a remix, there's not much I can complain.
-What you did with the end was really brilliant.
-The fact that it's a VG remix.
Overall: Here's a nice ten from me. (5/5)
It's been quite some time since i played R-Type so i vaguely remember the original theme but this song was very soothing & mellow so it was quite enjoyable, the quality was excellent and everything synced up very nicely, overall i think you did an excellent job on this remix. =)
out a sight
mystical man this is great
It sounds like it would have been a fitting song for the metriod prime trilogy, especially those eerie whistles at the beggining. If you havnt already you should try a Metriod prime cover. Great song!!
Don't speak spanish, but thanks! :(
