Unlike the reviewer below, I actually enjoyed this slower approach for a solo melody - certainly a nice break from all of the rampant shredding and thrashing normally expected. I can really feel this "Hallow Mind" feel you were trying for - The reverb helps to emphasizes this certain sense of lonelyness/emptiness, and the emphasized pitch bends really spoke to me of a chaos or distortion, but in a subtle way. Great job, really.
Seems like a one-man-jam session
It's a bit slow to be impressive improvisation, and a bit messy and lacking drive. I'm sure this was just a "wake up and play something on my mind" affair, but compared with the hard work of people who spend days on one song and then submit it, it's got to be judged accordingly.
Get FL studio, or get some betamonkey drumloops, or something to that effect to record on top of and give yourself a drive. Or at least some string chords to dramatically throw a rubato solo on top of as such. Just throwing out notes in a scale doesn't constitute a five out of five.
As I said, I haven't listened to your other stuff, and it may well be that this was a brain dump. Whatever. Just going on what I hear.
Sounds like you enjoy the instrument though, so absolutely keep recording and playing. Just record this sort of thing for reference and start building a real song on it!
