This is an acoustic cover of the Savatage song 'Edge of Thorns'.
The guitar was played by entanglement, and all the vocals are mine.

Here are the lyrics:

An offering of reasons
We put them all in play
A covering of treasons
That one by one we let slip away

A solitary dancer
So lost upon her stage

I have seen you on the edge of dawn
Felt you there before you were born
Balanced your dreams upon the edge of thorns
But I don't think about you anymore

A study made of winter
Of summers long ago
And dreams that use to glitter
Safely now hidden under snow

And so we end this chapter
And let the stage lights fade

I have seen you on the edge of dawn
Felt you there before you were born
Balanced your dreams upon the edge of thorns
But I don't think about you anymore

Shit man!

Honestly, you are becoming one of my favorite artists on NG. One day I am going to see your band in concert, come to MTL!!!!!!!!

Keep it up!

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Thanks man, that means a lot.
All any true musician wants is for his/her music to be heard, and I have found a very kind, supportive audience in these NG folks, which I am very glad for.
It's awesome people like you who keep me going, and I appreciate it.

Nice!

Really good vocals! Can't wait to hear them in Cemetery Gates!
0 bombers are dicks.... simple as that.
Keep up the work!

TwilightNecrosis responds:

I agree, 0-bombers are cuntfags who suck on their mother's titties and wack off to pictures of Michael Jackson.
Thanks for the review!

I really wish you lived near me

We could really DESTROY some crowds man. I like it alot. This "clean" vocal track is so far my favorite from you. I can hear your improvements. Well done man keep on practicing your breathing and diaphram control. Open that throat man and you're there.

Good job.

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Hell yeah dude, your crazy-awesome clean voice and my super-destructive scream would decimate everything.
And then, we could do some insane harmonies, and people's heads would EXPLODE.
...
Awesome.
Speaking of which, we totally need to bash out a collab of some sort here soon.

As far as your review... I have a hard time really opening up at here at home, because invariably I get yelled at every time I try to get a little volume going. I really need to start recording when everybody's gone, I guess.
And I'm glad you can hear improvement, I've been working hard on getting the clean to come out decent. Glad to know I'm making progress. (WOO-HOO!!! *parties*)
Thanks for the awesome review, man.
You kick ass.

Thrown back

The chorus was your strongest. Is that your falsetto in the b/g? Almost sounds like a female might be singing it.

Sounds like your holding back during the verses. Like you should be doing it a bit more heavy-metal-voice sounding. Not necessarily scratchy-vocals though. Try that and post it.

I'm going to try a version with my low voice with the music. Maybe we can keep doing this back and forth until we find something we can melt together for our vocals.

TwilightNecrosis responds:

No, the only time I used a falsetto was the third line of the first chorus, and the last two lines of the last chorus.
The rest was just a harmony. I couldn't tell you which one, but I liked the way it sounded so I used it.
And the reason the verses lack a bit is because I was done with the vocals, and prepping them for mixing, when my program hardlocked and I was forced to do them again. I was a bit miffed at that point, so I kinda did them quickie-style, and hoped for the best.
Yeah, that sounds good. I'll go take a look.

Okay, redid verses, reuploaded. Opinion change?
