Ok I am working on a new song and need advice.
I am probably goin to cut the beginning.
I would love to have all the advice and random comments I can get.
I personally think...
that the beginning is fine. I enjoy how around the middle of the song, you change the mood. I would think that with the longer version, though, you could raise the intensity into a climax during the second half, and then throw in a relief reminiscent of the beginning, then quickly continue the climax. Although that's probably too specific to help with the entire song, it could give you ideas. :D
Here are my thoughts
As the track stands now, the intro and the rest of it don't transition well. I actually like the intro way more than the rest of the track, I think it's really interesting. The simple solution would be to cut the intro, but if you want to challenge your self and make something really interesting than you could try to make both parts fit together. However, should you choose to cut the opening, then I would really like to hear you develop that intro into a full track, I think that part has the most personality. I hope my comments have helped in some way. Good luck with your song and thanks for sharing.

kinda NES style intro, nice done on taking it all the way through the song, it needs a more powerful beat, background noise, oomph,... you get what i'm trying to say?
