great song

this is pretty good, but it doesnt feel like a shoot em up song. it feels... greasy almost. its not a bad thing, but this feels more like for a thinking game, like an action puzzle rather than a 'i need to survive!' kind of game. i think that if u made it a little sharper, crisper... its not meant to invoke sturdy thinking, its meant to invoke those lightening reflexes that will save u! it should get u into a lather, not lull u back down after uv killed every1. still good tho.

You maybe right, I just had in mind a vertical scrolling shoot-em up. Thanks for the review.

Yeah

The rhythm is infectious, and it was pretty good in other ways too :D

Yes it brings back memories of good shoot em ups. You pretty much do everything and I'm just very impressed. 10/10 5/5

Thanks Susie, Yes it's very Turrican. Have a few hundred of this type around this place somewhere. I will add them eventually for people to use quite happily.

AWESOME!

I like this song alot.
1 thing though. Around :25, you added this long tone. That sort of gave me a feeling of a more covert feeling, like you are being more sneaky then reckless.
So you lost the star there
Another thing, I personally didn't like the piano sounding thing in there, but it certainly does add to the personality of these kind of songs and that helps make up the song. And it just makes up the song basically.
WHOA! Okay so i just finished the song, and I don't think that your ending is befitting of a "Shoot Em Up" level. It needs to have a PUNCH! Yours just kind of stops on a high to low tone. It doesn't sound that great. I would recommend that you do something like have a roll on a snare drum get louder and louder over a maybe 10 seconds and have something that just gives the feeling like POW!! So you lost the other star there
I'm more imagining a level where you are starting with some badass guns, but near the end he runs out of ammo or something and he has to use his fists to win, where theres an epic fight between the player and the boss at the end. The boss has like brass knucles or something and you have your fists or maybe the butt end of your gun. This gives me more of a feeling of an older maybe 2D game. Not a newer game.

MarkySpark responds:

Thanks for that. Where the actual song ends here is where the BOSS music would start. Just never added the BOSS music. Not as yet anyhow. Composing for games at the moment. Appreciate your time reviewing.
