When I was starting with this one, I was actually experimenting with how long you can play a single riff, but keep the song listenable by adding complex drums. Later on, I decided to finish it and this is the result: an instrumental groove-metal song.

EDIT: Increased the volume up a bit, and gave some more punch to the bass.

Well, it is Repetitive

But seeing as 90% of metal songs on the NG AP have synthesized drums, I still really liked the natural sound the drums have, and the variety in them.

haha, reminds me of frank zappa on metal.

I loved the idea of the one riff thing. Electronic composers do it all the time though... it's actually kind of become a staple of the popular electronic genres. Find one cheesy melody, let it fly for a while, then do a break down and do it again. The drums in this song make that one riff work really well though. You really went all out with finding those syncopations while keeping the flow of the rhythm going. The composition was really cool. Great C:

Hades responds:

Yeah, I guess that it is a rather frequently appearing aspect of certain genres, which definitely isn't a good thing, but I can't really say I related it to those genres until now. :P Anyways, I'm glad you liked the drums enough to live through the single riff thing and thanks a lot for returning the favor of reviewing! ;D

I'm not entirely sure...

...exactly WHAT to think of it. But I definitely thought the riffs you had were tight and pretty cool. Is that actually a real guitar though?
It almost sounds more like midi to me.
Nice work, dude.

Hades responds:

Nope, I still don't have enough money to buy myself a program that would allow me to actually record my guitar, so this is just a guitar VSTi used in FL Studio. And as far as those go, they pretty much sound MIDI-ish, sadly. Anyways, thanks a lot for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it!

Meh...

I'm tired of writing long reviews for now, so i'll just say that this is awsome. Still keep it up!

Hades responds:

Thanks, dude, and thanks for all the reviews!

Hey nice

This is Groovy, I like that the drums change up.
I would like to see the riff change up to thoe. just a tab more.

and it almost seem like the bass is non existent
non the less this was simple but original. witch is the best.

Hades responds:

The bass depends on the type of headphones/speakers you use. For example, on my headphones, the bass occasionally gets louder than the guitar! And yeah, the riff could change a bit more, but that wouldn't make it this challenging, now, would it? ;D Thanks for your comment!
