This is an older song made with the trial version of FL Studio. At the time that I uploaded it I had intended it to be some kind of sample, or teaser track for some half-baked EP I wanted to make. I'm an idiot though, and used to always get high and come up with a bunch of shit I was never going to do. It almost pains me to look back at some of my older submissions, for a few reasons really. First off there's millions n billions of things that jump out at me as "Hey this is really wrong, you should fix this" when I listen to them, but I have to just sit there and cringe cuz I can't do anything about it anymore. Second, I've had this acount for a very, very long time. Like, since I was a lame little kid. So a lot of shit I thought was cool back then is actually not cool at all, but in fact gay as shit.

Anyone who listens to this, or any of my other tracks, is welcome to so. Just keep in mind that I made it in highschool when I was a lot less cool than I am now. lolz

everytime we lie awake

ill have to agree widd big bad lej on this one alot of people done been around NG for so long that everytime the drop a new track weather its good or not they get 5d.
Thats what I fucking hate about this site. Its jus like polotics everybody jus goes with what the next person is voting for.
Complete ignorangce.
Now to the track.
Very innovative and creative ill give you that.
Your snares were ok for default.
But your bassline was a tad bit too loud and off tempo a few times.
and [from my point ov view] i wouldve put a high hat somewhere in it to keep somewhat of a tempo.
But hey we both have diffrent views on things.
Keep it up.

Dont worry about the ng score.

It has 0% value cause it doesnt reflect the talent you express. It expresses the discomfort of these half ass producers.

dda7 responds:

Yea man I get what you're sayin, it's like there are a few people who no matter what they do their new song goes to the top of the portal and everybody else gets bumped down even if it's equal or greater quality. I don't put too much bearing on my score cuz I know I'm still at a sort of intermediate level where I'm starting to get good and people need to see some more from me before they get what I'm doing.

But dude thanks for the review. As cool as it is to get a high score on something it helps to hear someone who's established on the portal like you sayin it doesn't matter. It kind of puts things in perspective n lets me focus on doing my thing and getting better all the time

Legit beat

Pretty repetitive but the bass is tight and so are the drums. I know the trial version can be pretty frustrating when it comes to saving or wanting to go back to edit a track. So overall this is a nice track, but I'd have to hear more before I'd be willing to pay money for it.
~Methree check my beats out if you will.

dda7 responds:

Yea man I was worried about it being too repititious, I even thought about taking the sample out and just using a different instrument with it to give it more variety but after working on this project for like 5 hours straight I decided I'd just leave it as is haha. The FL Studio trial's a bitch man!

I'll try and play some guitar on the next track I release on NG so people can get how I play. I've been a guitarist for like 5 years so it's probably what you'd call my "strong suit" you know. When the mixtape comes out this track's going to have a whole new guitar part, and the shit I've been trying out sounds pretty good and puts less emphasis on the sample.

It's hard to simultaniously release a mixtape locally and online cuz I don't want to undercut myself by selling it too cheap through digital distribution, but then again people aren't as willing to pay for the mixtape online because they don't know who I am yet. I'm not really trying to make too much money off the online release as I am trying to get some recognition and shit you know. I don't really care how about getting payed for it I just don't want to offer it free one place but then charge everyone else $8 for a cd.

But yea man thanks for the review, I'll check your shit out tonight for sure
