The last guy is right on the bass. If you wanted to equate your work with the horrible alchemy of GoreBastard and Techno (HEE, HEE!), then pump up the bass and remove the quarter that's taped on the bass snare. That's a classic Lars, but it removes the whole point of having a bass drum. (Translation: improve the bass on the drums as well).
I BET YOU'D LIKE TO CARRY MORE BOMBS.
You say all this like I knew what I was doing.
I don't fucking know what I'm doing :p
+Excellent drums, double kicking is very cool.
+Bursting with energy
-Bass sound could have been better (though In some ways very suitable)
-At times hard to make out what's happening in the mid registers
-Despite the excellent intensity, it could have had more rising action: the pulse somewhat remains the same throughout and I find myself craving an epic climax
Overall I consider this an excellent piece; near world class originality and quality.
P.S. comparing this piece to Tiesto/trance is like comparing apples and oranges, and this definitely can't be considered to be from the roots of techno, which, imo, wasn't ever the greatest music to being with. Anyways, great song but you definitely can't dance to it...or at least I couldn't.
Oh, I know you can't dance to it, this song was more for the comparison of being rough and obviously hardware-synth without much in the way of anything but basic effects, while many trance songs are much smoother on the ears.
But I appreciate the feedback! :D
OMG this song is amazing! And its sound a cool track for a Video Game like the kind of one in a map.
Yesh. I want to see someone use this in a video game :D
title of epic proportions
I give you 10 and 5 based on the title alone.
Thanks for the lulz and the good listen.
And by the way, you're looking awfully attractive lately.
The title is epic. Truly.
VG -NON STOP- :]
Don't stop pounding that kick drum. We're gonna dbl bass all the way to the top of the VG genre. Honestly if you and I pooled our efforts and found a time machine we coulda made a lot of money when the consoles first hit the market. This tops any VG music I have ever made.
And sorry if that offends you when I consider it VG music.
The melodies are astounding. Jealous. Very dramatic-climatic-and -ic it goes (think we had this convo elsewhere). The only thing I don't like is the phasing bassline that starts off the song. Its cool to a point. IMO I would have maybe faded it out after the intro?! Something bothers me about it. Seems as tho that bassline may cover up or take away from some of the really cool parts you detailed in the song with the lead synths. Love the fade out--nothing to crazy or dramatic--just a classic fade.
Overly solid peice-again!
Keep it wildstyle!
I'm not offended at all by calling it VG music- it's oldschool for the win. :D
The bassline seems to be hit and miss between the people who've listened to this song. Personally, I love it. So it stays. :D
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
