This is my first submission to NG. I've been making songs under the artist moniker "city at worlds end". although, I would love to allow people to build on my stuff, and use it for whatever purposes they like. If you can make my song better, then I encourage it.
This particular song is one I've had in production for about a month, Which is fairly lengthy for me. I really wanted to go out of my way to make a beautiful visual track, with lots of mental scenery and an abstract feeling. the percussion does have some hip-hop influence. The compression on the introduction of this song is kind of sharp too. Sorry it turned out that way : x
Oh, and for those who are curious this whole piece is 100% FL studio 8. (can you believe it?)

*EDIT* 9/05 - Changing the genre classification on this song to "ambient". Not exactly sure what to put it as, Too bad they don't have a down-tempo or chillout selection : x! fixed!
This song is amazing
I listened to this song for over an hour straight with out it getting old, it's that good. My only possible complaint is that it needs a stronger kick. I look forward listening to more of your music.

I'm a huge fan of this type of music, but like another poster said gosh this needs some remastering. Its most noticeable in the first 10 seconds of the song or so. Crackling kills babies. >_>
Aside from that, so much of this was awesome. The melodic work was inspiring. I think from that alone it's really clear that you've been making music for a while. Also, a punchier kick would've been good. Not necessarily more bassy but just punchier, more forward in the mix. The one you use is bassy enough, maybe too much, which is making the actual sound of the kick kind of buried.
10/10 5/5 fav'd etc. etc. good stuff.

I'm currently working on a JRPG and this piece hsa given me a lot of story inspiration. It's very well-written, and your choice of sound loops is just perfect! Keep it up :)

this piece of work is by far one of the greatest things to hit newgrounds, it made me think alot of something i would listen to on like midnight club or something cool like that, i would either drive at high speed to this or have dreams to it, it's a wicked song, make more stuff and keep on keepin on.
