Electro is a sub-genre of breakbeat but NG doesn't have a breakbeat section so it's in Miscellaneouse. Just thought I'd say.

80s Electro music, can't get much more machine worshipping that this
Constructive criticism is welcomed and appreciated.

dear god yes!

that bg is like the "push it" background - this feels totally 80s :P

you need more instruments - and black chicks singing overtop of it - and some jazzy male guy in the solo parts with cool shades and a flat-top acting all chill :P

I seriously want those drums and stuff that you used- just.. so.. awesomely 80s!

Very classy!

Hahaha you really recreated that typical 80s sound =) You used the stuff they had at that time (atleast, either a emulation or something that sounds like it) and it sounds great! Love that TB303 bassline all over it!:) I am doing some experiments with electro atm.. but doesn't really work out, haha.

Keep it going like this, and this is going on my faves list!

Sounds great

I've heard alot of these sounds in presets, samples and stuff, they are really a bit too known, but thats not a mistake, its just a improvement for next time! to not take too decent samples! example: the claps.

benanderson responds:

No, not presets. The drums are the famouse Roland TR808 analouge drum machine that has been recreated with the 8-Tron VSTi, those can't be changed, only modulated and edited slightly by changing some of the perameters. (but who doesn't love the TR808? It's famouse for a reason. Crisp analouge sound and a really phat, deep kick).

The laser zapp was programmed by me using the fruit kick, yes it's cheesy but it's a classic electro sound. The vocals are overused but I like them. The synthesizers using the kwop7 and the 3xOsc were also made from scratch by me. Please don't go around saying that they are all presets without first understanding the synthesizers used to create them.
