Easy Listening - Classical

Author Comments

I recently read a user post that the Song of Storms (aka, Windmill Hut) does not mix with the Classical genre. Keeping that in mind, I set out to make this song and hopefully convince people otherwise.

This specific arrangement is for solo piano and incorperates the Serenade of Water in both the intro and outro. I was very liberal in my remixing of the source material, but the original melody is hidden in there somewhere. ;)

I feel as though this is my best piano work to date. I worked on multiple edits before getting this to its current state and recieved invaluable advice from multiple people. I have always had difficulty building climaxes but feel quite satisfied for once. Also, I finally figured out how to accurately work tempo changes. There is no way I could have worked some of the fermatas if not for learning this tempo change technique.

I put a great deal of effort into this and would appreciate any comments. Advice and criticism is welcome so long as you are not blatently rude. As always, I read and respond to every single review.

Thank you for listening,

It fits so perfectly...

I just created a script for something, and then listened to this song afterwards. And now looking at the script, it is EXACTLY what I imagined would be playing in the background during the animation.

It's like I was destined to hear this song. It's beautiful. Absolutely perfect.

Although I don't really like remixes or "heavily based on other songs" songs (I always rather the original one xD), this one can I say it?...tickled me from the inside? =p

It's'm just out of words to describe this feeling right now...xD

It's something like happiness mixed with nostalgia...quite beautiful =D

Oh...since I'm a Zelda fan, I can't imagine a scene with this song out of "Zelda World", so...well...describing it would be kind of boring, as I would imagine the exatly the same one in the game xD

Keep up the excellent work \o/

BlazingDragon responds:

Zelda is amazing, isn't it? One of the games that really has inspired me to compose! Thanks for the review. :D

How have I not reviewed this?

One of the most beautiful piano pieces on this site. No lie. I can detect the tunes that your based this piece on, but your own style really shines in it.

Like a lullaby. Best part = 1:39 onward. It just gets perfect. The arpeggio sections really work. Simple and is so complex. Love it.

Fifen. Tenen. Downloaden.

All I can say. Easily one of the best tunes on NG, and the best rendition of this theme I've ever heard.

Thank you! There are a lot of other great artists here who I highly recommend. Winterwind-NS has some incredible music, as does simon-f. :)
