Hits School is an Urban/Pop/R&B , music production/writing group that consists of Milana Leybovich, Khalfani White & Mickey Munday. Each represents an eclectic vision of sound and direction; combined, they are a perfect blend of harmonious movement. Hits School is music and music is Hits School.
After years of working on separate projects at The Black Eyed Peas' Studio working with Will.I.Am, Fergie, Dj Motiv8 and Taboo, the three were finally presented an opportunity to work on a project together with 3-time Grammy Award winner Jason Villaroman. The chemistry was instantaneous and after four years of consistently collaborating with each other, they sat down to create their own production/writing team - Hits School was established in 2007 in Los Angeles California.
Since 2007 Hits School has been diligently working with Taboo, Rick One, Motiv8 and Rocky Rock who are all from The Black Eyed Peas. They also worked on part of the of the Wall E Disney movie soundtrack and The Lil' Rockstarz project for Sony/Nickleodeon. They continue to work with Jason Villaroman (3 Time Grammy winner), as well as a new group off of Sony called The Stunners, Medina (The Six Million Dollar Man), Dj Master Millions, Milana, Rell Dert, D-Rugs, R-Kayne, Prince Ya , Hiram Rimmer. The list goes on. They are currently working on their own album as a group. The first single, "SO PERFECT" is starting to impact the radio airwaves all across the world.
The name Hits School was chosen because "when people listen to our music they sit there captivated as if they are in school learning something interesting for the very first time." Khalfani explains.
The ultimate goal Hits School wants to accomplish is to become world renowned Grammy award wining music producers and song writers. They want to become the best of their time. "We just want to show the world that we are the next, go to music production song writing team." Mickey mentions.
Each discovered they loved making music at an early age. Mickey Recalls, "I remember I had this little Casio keyboard when I was about 9 or 10. I was obsessed with that thing." Since Milana was a baby, she had a natural talent for music. "I use to put on shows at home during birthday events when I was 4 years old and sing my heart out." Milana said. Khalfani was always winning talent shows when he was younger. "I would just go up on stage do my thing and I would win. I was up against 50 other acts sometimes. It came easy to me."
