Tears of Remorse

I have been struggling to compose a sad song for several days. With the theme of the current MAC being Sorrowed Tears, I had to come up with something fitting. Yet I've had no inspiration. I began to write one song, but I could not find a way to get past the intro. I had given up any hope, and simply submitted an old work.

Tonight, however, I was stricken with sudden inspiration. I began to ponder my life, my decisions, etc. Shortly thereafter, I also watched part of Spider Man 3. Without spoiling the movie, a certain sad point in the story was accompanied by some mournful music, and it gave me shivers. I HAD to write a song. I ran upstairs to the computer and got to work. 45 minutes later, this is the result.

This song does not represent simple sadness, nor regret, nor bitterness. I does not represent the death of a loved one or the emotions that such brings. What this song represents is guilt and true sorrow. It is the feeling you get when you realized that you hurt the person you loved most; that you made a huge mistake and now have to bear to burden of your actions. It represents the consequences of your greatest sins. It represents true remorse for your actions.

I truly hope you feel the sheer emotion of this song. It came from my heart, and expresses better than any words what I have felt recently.

The sound of sadness always holds a key of hope.
In this you can feel sadness, and that tiny bit of hope that remains inside of sadness.

A very lovely piece of work. One worthy of much recognition!

That first line sounds very profound as I read it. I did not mean for this to be hopeful in any way, but I can see what you are saying. Thank you for the review!

This is amazing! The high notes really hit at your emotions. This is what makes the NG Audio Portal worth coming back to.

I am so glad that you understand the significance of the high notes! I showed this to my little brother, and he simply said, "Meh...It's kind of good. But not like your other sad songs. You know...it's simple and slow and stuff." I was angry, suffice to say. :P

I really believe that simplicity is crucial to music if utilized properly. If this was faster or had more complicated chords, it would shatter the mood I was trying to convey. Those simple high notes and strings were meant to convey a specific mood and emotion. The texture was thin on purpose. I'm getting away from the review. My bad. xD

Thank you for your comment. I am happy that you have enjoyed me song.

This is really incredible. Its very emotional, the piano is just perfect. Nothing more to say... I dont stand a chance in the comp with this in there.

BlazingDragon responds:

Don't say that! Have some faith in yourself. :) Honestly, I'm really glad DJ-Immune will be judging and not submitting. His piece was incredible in my opinion.

Thank you so much for the review. Good luck with your submission!

i'm gonna be honest, this will pop into my head when i do something wrong to someone close to me, cause at least i'll have a beautiful song to remember. its very peaceful, you should get signed, especially if you can do that in 45 minutes

BlazingDragon responds:

It usually takes me a lot longer than 45 minutes to write a song, but I was truly inspired. I don't think I've *ever* writting a two minute long song that fast...Sometimes I'll spend five or more hours straight to put out a single track. This is an exception. I would love to get signed and compose music for film soundtracks; I believe that this would be very fitting in a film where the main character hurts the girl he loves and feels great remorse for it.

Thank you for the inspiring review. PM me when your track is finally out and I'll drop a review! :D
