This is a cover of the Bullet For My Valentine song titled 'Say Goodnight'.
All the music was performed by Nicholls.
All vocals performed by me.
Be sure to check out Nicholls' other stuff, it's badass.

Lyrics:
Heaven's waiting for you,
just close your eyes and say goodbye.
Hearing your pulse go on and on and on...

I live my life in misery,
I'd sacrifice this world to hold you.
No breath left inside of me,
shattered glass keeps falling...

Chorus:
Say goodnight
Just sleep tight
Say goodnight

Flowers laid out for you,
so many colors leave me blind.
Seeing your face reflect from our baby's eyes.

I live my life in misery,
I'd sacrifice this world to hold you.
No breath left inside of me,
shattered glass keeps falling...

Chorus

So here I am, you're inside of me
So here I am, our world is over (x2)

Here I am with you, I'm there 'til the end
Memories are calling, so farewell my friend (x2)

you know...

when you're singing the clean portion of the song... you almost sound like a young Rob Flynn (Machinehead singer). Very well done by the way, loved the added flanger at the beggining of the song, as well well as the couple added dual leads, very very good job!

awesomec cover bullet for my valentine

ive been trying to learn how to play this for awhile

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed.

I'm not familiar with the original

Just wanted to tell you what your clean vocal quality could sound like with a little practice in breathing and abdominal strength Check out Savatage. Like their song Edge of Thorns. The video can be found on the obvious site that I won't mention or promote here.

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Okay man, I'll get on *cough*that site*cough* and look it up later.

epic..

dude....you write better lyrics than me...

and im the lyric writer of my band....

but my lyrics are meant for black/death metal...

all in all....your very talented!

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Ahhh, it's a shame I didn't write them! =x
Yeah, this is a Bullet for my Valentine cover. If you've never heard of them, go look 'em up, they're pretty good.
Thanks for the kind words and review.

honestly

I love your scream. Its one of the best I've heard here on newgrounds, shit. even in a lot of bands i hear...
but your clean vocals sound sorta... like you have a cold... =/
sounds like the dude from A7X but not as great heh heh, work on your clean vocals and this song could be much better than it already is
dont be afraid to go higher in notes, higher is better. even if it takes take after take as long as you get it once, you got nothing to worry about. higher is better dude

stay metal.
keep it up

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Yeah, I get what you're saying, believe me.
This is the first mostly-clean song I've ever sang that didn't involve crazy-high, nasty falsetto (which I am also not that great at). So honestly, it was an experiment more than anything.
I do think that I could go back and do it again, and make it better, but alas; there are more pressing projects which I am currently WAY BEHIND on. (Weeklong sinus infections FTW.)
So, while I appreciate the words, I'm not sweating this one at the moment. Maybe later, but I've got too much other stuff on my mind to worry about this one.
And I disagree about the 'higher is better' advice; some notes just sound better low. It all depends on the song.
Thanks for the awesome review, man.
