Now that's hard!
The title "Asylum" made me think of insanity as that was what this was bringing on in me. Don't get me wrong, it started out very peaceful, but you knew something more extreme was going to happen. It was the lack of creepy music that made that part scary. I love at around 1:50 when you start to hear those voices. They don't seem to be even singing just moaning in a very soft way. There was stuff like rattles and pages being turned.
Then, at 2:20 it slowly begins its descent into madness. It gets louder and louder as it goes on and appeals more to the insanity of your senses. This is a true work of art given how it kept adding more creepiness as it went on. The loud stuff at 2:56 is most effective and it gets more inane from even there! Thank you for such a great audio piece.
It was good...
I liked the first half, I suppose I'd say. It was calm, had me thinking about the soldier's lives when they weren't in combat. It made me wonder what they were thinking about, how they felt, etc. And then you fade out the first part and get into "the heavy", and from there, it sounds like a completely different song. It's creepy, so you got the effect down, but I think it'd be better if you separated the first half from the second and expanded both. The second would do awesome if you had some sort of dread insanity theme or something, 'cause that's how it feels to me.
Been listening to this over and over, i love it, very chrisp, very stylish.
gloomy peaceful and yet so very right
i'm goone have tokeep my ear out for you
A great song, slow, ambient, then goes into the heavy last minute. Nice.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
