I'm digging this one. It's a slow methodical DnB drum beat that's really slow, but still has a good danceable groove to it. :) If you remember this track, it's from the original Metal Gear on the NES and MSX.

Yep. Dig it yall.

I can't quite remember, but...

Is this theme not from the NES version of the game? I mean, it sounds nice, but the MSX version used "Theme of Tara" and this sneaking theme was in the NES.

to upbeat for metal gear and to be truthful i dident hear any metal gear in it sounds more megamanish to me

strike911 responds:

Clearly you never played any of the original Metal Gear games from 1987 onward (or the bonus game content in MGS3:S) ... either that or you just flatly don't remember it, as this remix contains the melody from the original in a rather blunt and solid form. The original basic/simple midi song applied to a new genre, a slow DnB style with more aggressive synthesizers.

The song as it remains in this remix is largely (and I mean LARGELY) left intact. Check the source material if you need proof. Keywords: Jungle music, MSX Metal Gear. Stage 1. Etc. etc. Youtube it or check

I appreciate you leaving feedback, but again, I think you're thinking of the Metal Gear Solid series of games which clearly have a different musical style from the original MSX version that was released in 1987.

That said I don't think your rating is justified, and I think those that have heard the source tune will agree.
