gotta agree with whatsit below me. its really nice to hear songs you like done differently, however... for that to be successful you need to keep or improve upon it. and you didn't. while you did good with the melody and bass line it was extremely flat, i remember this opening having extremely different volumes. especially at the begging, i mean Gannon is terrorizing everything.... then BAM the hero of time appears, it needs to be much more dramatic.

I would have more to say about how much I love piano and how much I love this song, but that's pretty boring, so I'll skip to the point...
You changed a lot and made it infinitely less complicated (many of the inner voices are gone...) Just because it's a piano and you have only two hands doesn't mean you have to stick to melody and bass lines.
If you spruced it up with some more dynamics, the quality would also improve greatly. Without dynamics, music is easy to just stop listening to without noticing.
In any case, I'm glad to see this piece adapted to piano and it's still a good composition. Good luck with future work!
