This is one of my first tryouts with G(ENERAL) M(IDI) sounds, which sound unbelievable clear and crispy... I've tried to keep it minimal (eg efx only reverb and compression) and clean.
Now I try to produce a whole videogame-soundtrack, only with GM because it's very cool and easy to work with...(like Nobuo Uematsu who made the Final Fantasy soundtracks with GM (I think so , It sounds very similar))

Thank you for paying attention, vote&review FAIR!

Great use of General MIDI

I was real curious to see if there were actual uploads of [originally] General MIDI tunes. This is a real treat. Nowadays, I tend to associate General MIDI tunes if they are geared toward game music use, as RuneScape (or more recently RPG Maker) music, not to mean that in a negative way, however; General MIDI just seems to be a rare gem in today's gaming life.

I this is incredible sound quality for a MIDI, and I think JaGEx would be happy to hire someone like yourself into their audio team, if they are indeed looking for new musicians. Loops never really seemed to catch on in their tunes, but this one does a fine job of demonstrating one darn near seamlessly!

Reeez responds:

Well! I thank you for your nice contribution! I had no other choice at this time. My computer was a 366 mhz scrap heap and midi a funny last resort.
Right now I'm trying Soundfonts, which sound exactly like GM but they are editable(but only with Soundblaster sound cards).

Very well done.

Everything in the music harmonized great. And that made a big plus.

The music was smooth as well.

In fairness, I was surprised when I saw the score before I voted ( which was a 1.00, by the way).

Reeez responds:

...hmmm...thank you...
