Anyone remember this game? No? Not a lot of people do. XD When you got into the mode where you have bird wings and fly around, this music would play. I had it stuck in my head for about 8 years, until I listened to it once again only to find that what I remembered wasn't much different. So I decided to cover it.
Here's all the technical stuff for the people who might give a shit:
I recorded the strings with my Casio CTK-551 through a phone out to the Line In socket of my sound card, and for the guitar parts I recorded my Ibanez Xiphos through a Boss Metal Zone through a Randall 33w amp to the Line In socket. The bass, keyboard, and organ parts where taken from a MIDI made by a guy called DaGuy, which I got from VGMusic, so kudos to... that guy. XD The bass was exported individually from the MIDI after being imported into Powertab and then EQ'd in KRISTAL for a bass boost, while I replaced the keyboard and organ instruments with Fruity Loops defaults and EQ'd those within FL a little bit. Finally, the drums were made with Rhythm Rascal, and then I gave them some reverb in KRISTAL so it sounded a little more realistic, which I think kinda worked.
I did a whole lot of micro-management in KRISTAL (splicing, moving) because some stuff were really offbeat, either because of me on the guitar or because the drums weren't looping right or because either Fruity Loops or Goldwave fucked up the spacing between silences in the keys, but I still don't think it came out perfectly. But I think the result is satisfactory enough for a release.
Ibanez Xiphos (Boss Metal Zone > Randall 33w > Sound card)
Casio CTK-551 (Direct to sound card)
KRISTAL (mixing, EQ)
Sound Recorder (Sometimes KRISTAL makes .WAV files 2x fast, so I have to make them 2x slow with this before importing)
Goldwave (converting, trimming)
Guitar Pro (to learn the strings on keyboard)
Powertab (to export bass)
Rhythm Rascal (drums)
Fruity Loops (keys)
