Intensity of the Chase

This was a song that I really tried hard to do. I had a vision of a chase scene while I was making this.

Wow

It doesn't sound too bad. You just need to be more creative. I've listened to your songs and they ALL SOUND THE SAME. Your pulling a huge dragonforce lol. But other than that they sound good just put a new sound in. Make a NEW song.

FlamingLynx responds:

Yeah thnx for that. I've made a knew song with new sound LOL and it has been listened to over 1000 times . Thnx for the advice

Great work, but after 42s, it all goes downhill.

The speed is portrayed well with the ultra-fast melody you've got going. Sounds like 450BPMish!

The way you have the basic melody repeated in different 'positions' works well.

The occasional electronic beats work well - they can be like passing another car - whilst the 2 bass melodies that you bring in are pretty awesome.

But after that 42s mark, I was disappointed to see it stop progressing!

When you take out the faster melody at 120s, it loses a lot of its tempo.

The drums are excellent and make for a nice variation, but for a chase, there seems to be too long before they come in. Maybe bring them in at the 46s mark, then drop the faster melody, then bring it all back in for a finale, ending with a crash, rather than the boring sudden-stop you've got.

And I'm not too sure why you put what seems to be the start at the end - it's not even as if it loops, since there's a 10+s pause anyways.

Grreat tune but could use some refinement. Hope to hear it after some added excellence! Keep going!

Still waiting for the start...

It started and I thought this sounded a lot like the "Kraftwerk Tribute" by Bill Bailey. I was expecting it to leap into the bass ridden second part of the intro

I'm really not sure about the last 7 seconds of this track to be brutally honest. If you want to put that as the intro to the track, put it at the start, not at the end , so that it loops into it. Like putting the locomotive at the back of the train to push it, it is not as efficient as having it pull the whole thing from the front.

It's not got as much variation as I would have expected. If someone or something is being chased, I'd add a powerful bass beat, to signify some sort of heartbeat. Maybe add a calm part, where the bass slows down, while they hide from the pursuers, before making a bolt for it, back with the normal speed of the chase.

It was ok

I wasnt a hge fan of this, it was extremely repeptative, and i couldnt really sense and significant change in it, the high sound playing throughout the track gets really annoying after a while. But anyway for what it is and what it represents its ok, but not good enough for me to like really. It needs more.

Okay

It seems that most of this seems to sound the same though the whole thing, though you have some changes in it, which is good, but I think that the high piched sound that plays all the way though, although works, it seems to get quite annoying to listen to after a while, to me anyway. It just sounds too high pitched for my liking.

Everything else here seems to be played well, it has a pretty fast pace to it which is good if you are going for something that is suppost to sound like a chase. Though when you lose the louder background, I think it loses a bit of it's chase sound to it.
