Constructive

I've heard a few constructive used of static before and the only one I ever bothered to remember was a piece called "Windows Noises". Well, no more, as this is a pretty damned good piece involving mostly static.

You've taken the annoying sounds and turned it into an art form, like graffiti artists, who are so damned creative that it can't be called a crime, it's amazing and confusing, all at the same time.

Such a dark overtone to this piece as well. Possibly about the fact that Static is a very noisy killer. It gets in through the ears and people succumb to sonic diarrhoea soon afterwards. The hazards of modern day life, I suppose.

Quite good.

You certainly understand instrumental progression and it sounded pretty good, for very short periods of time it seemed very crouded. Nice though. Keep up the good work.

Enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed it, overall. First the beat was really sweet, I enjoyed how you built it, and the effects you used on the drums sounded well - a bit trash though. Then I loved the piano, the 4th and the 5th that the piano played gave the song dark feeling and the synth melody added a new feeling, a sort of Egyptian feeling :D. Great stuff overall, I really dug this one!

Sounds a bit like a trash can

The drums sound a bit like a trash can... that was the first thing that came to my mind when I listened to the song the first time.

However, I think this also creates a special kind of atmosphere (and of course it fits very well to the title of the song ;) ). I have a picture of some kind of creepy carnival in my mind when listening to this.

Well, not too much

Certainly minimal with the melodies and development, but I'm fond of this gradual sort of instrument build-up. The static drums are actually kind of neat, especially that bass drum. The piano riff is well done, especially when you start using a gating effect on it. I didn't like the higher synth riff as much however. Some nice ideas you are experimenting with though - try using them in more full fledged piece and see how that goes.
