music nerd stuff:

tried a different songwriting approach with this one. i tried convey the meaning of the song not as much through lyrics, as the sound of the music itself. the emotion and atmosphere is in the melodies, chords and production, while the lyrics are there to contextualize them.

the song is also heavily inspired by a few different artists all at once, yet the influences are so small, that most people have not picked up on any of them, which in my opinion just goes to show that "originality" is really just a good combination of aspects of existing works.
