So this is the third installment

(don't worry, i'll delete the others)

This is my attempt at creating drum and bass. Hopefully it sounds pretty cool

Violins were done by Jay R. Hain.

Some of the beat skips around in 2 parts... i had to make due with the already layed out timing which was a half step wrong

I turned down the suck.

Hopefully its not too bad xD

Tell me what you think

And please, check out my other stuff too

Good Fighting Music

I think I've been watching the Matrix too much and listening to the soundtrack. This song kinda makes me see Neo and Morphus fighting in the training room. Don't ask me why but that's the vibe I get off of it aside from good music to play at a night club and just start dancing.... But you know me, crazy chic as always. Good work on this one.

This was nice...

I decided to review a song of your as you said in the audio forum that people had stopped reviewing your music and I felt a little sorry for you lol.

I read the comment below and was a little disappointed that you used pre-made drum loops in this. I always think that drum and bass is fairly easy to write if you use whole drum sample phrases. Nevertheless, this was a really nice piece. The bass is nice, and displays a good use of those filters. The backing synths were heavy.

All in all this is a well structured song, plenty going on and keeps the listening interested. Good work man. You tried to write some drum and bass and succeeded.

UntitledWhite responds:

Well i thank you for your pity review :)

Yea making drum and bass beats is pretty easy,... its just getting the correct sound out of thewhole matter thats a little difficult. I like to program everything seperately. Each individual hit has a certain EQ... its just hard to get it to sound as good as the loops that i had.

As i've said, i got about 200 new samples... among those, are several single drum hits. I'm going to see if i can tweak some of those out to my liking. Its hard to work with about 12 snares.
So yes... this is just a thrown together song and hopefully i can make one that has a lot more of "me" involved. Thanks a lot for your kind review... I'll see you around Newgrounds :-)

......

Holy shit that was amazing.
But only if those weren't premade loops.
I have a feeling the drum was sampled, was it?

UntitledWhite responds:

Most of them were premade loops, yes.
One of them i actually programmed but i only used it as an undertone beat. I actually cut and moved some of the sample beats as well.
I recently got about 200 new samples from a friend of mine, and i found some drum and bass beats. I never had them in my collection before and just wanted to make something out of them. I totally agree that if only those weren't pre made loops the song would be about a million times better. I'm still learning. This was just a song i wanted to throw together and make it sound cool. I'm going to use it as a muse for anything else i create. Of course, i'll try to make it far more original. CHeck out my other songs, they're a lot more original.

Thank you for your review :-)
