Reflection

A late summer piece I made. Around mid August. A conversion of another piece I made a few years ago. During its creation, I was thinking about how this might fit in a part of a game before the final boss. Where throughout the whole song, your character reflects on everything that happened before their current moment of reflection. The fights they fought, the stages they cleared, the bosses they defeated. These thoughts somewhat guided this piece's creation. Though, it wasn't my initial intention when starting the project.

I listened to it in full, and I really like the progression. The tension in the chords contrasts nicely with the indecisive melody. However, the hi-hat that starts around 0:40 doesn't quite convince me; it feels a bit too “blank,” especially since it repeats. Maybe applying a filter behind it or using a different hi-hat sound could enhance it.

Aside from that, the instrumentation is good; the piano paired with synthesizers works well—simple but effective. However, I believe that for such a long track, it would have been better to incorporate more instruments. The final decision to add that bass is excellent; it truly feels like you're approaching something significant.

Overall, I see potential here! New follow—just don’t give up and never stop dreaming

Thanks for the feedback! I'll take it into consideration.
