and in the nick of time, i got a song out before the end of august! i worked on other music throughout the month that i can't share yet, but i wanted to get two tracks out this month.

i heard the original song in an animation a few months ago and it really hit different for some reason. something about "i wish it could happen to me" just seems extra profound i guess. for the first time ever, i'm also singing in this one! (technically second if you count last year's april fools joke) (and technically third if you count my amalgam cover as me singing) i almost didn't publish this because my laptop mic is so bad, but it turns out my university offers a high quality recording studio free of charge! isn't that convenient! i did only have 30 minutes to get set up and record so it's not exactly a perfect take, but it turned out pretty well imo.
