Message from the creator:

This one is a remake of an older track of mine of the same title.

Back in 2019, I used to think that this was my best work at the time and this track went on to influence a lot of my songs going forward.

Nostalgia is one of my favorite emotions to write tracks about, and so I wanted to make a bit of a retrospective track.

I wanted to emulate the type of music 2019 me would’ve loved, I was a big fan of Future Bass and Melodic Dubstep and I wanted to implement these styles into this track.

I did something a bit interesting with the arrangement of this track.

The first part, from the intro to the end of the 1st drop is a remake of the first part of the original track, I tried emulating my old composing style.

The second part, from the 2nd drop to the start of the 8-bit break, switches up a bit from the track’s 1st part. I tried emulating a style that 2019 me always wanted to do, but couldn’t at the time.

The 3rd part, from the 8-bit break to the end, is the climax of the track. This is what the track would’ve sounded like if I thought of the idea for the track today, with the original 4 bar melody extended into 16 bars and a nice little solo at the end.

So the arrangement is basically: Who I was → Who I wanted to be → Who I became
