The studio now has an electronic drum kit with which we started to come up with some basic grooves. This session started with no base or idea to work with and so as we improvised on the beats, the idea of reimagining Hopping (not) Chilling quickly rose up. We went for a lot more of a jazzy feel, given our positive result with the previous session's experiment. The plan to make a Chilling (not) Hopping song had already crossed our minds, but rearranging the original melody and chords like this was not part of it. Still, we're very proud of this one (We tried our hardest to keep the key change and m#11 shenanigans on the down low this time, hope it was for the better ðŸ˜)
