Netero's Theme

I recently completed my first DnD campaign and was inspired to make an album for it. This is my first attempt at a character theme for my character Netero, an elf paladin.

Backstory

Thousands of years before the events of the game, Netero was transformed into a reaver—a soldier for the elven army, stripped of his free will. Imbued with the power of a vanquished god, he became a formidable force in the elves' quest for world domination. His mission was to eradicate the dwarves by poisoning their caverns. However, upon reaching one of these subterranean realms, Netero broke free from the spell that controlled his mind. Defying his orders, he chose instead to live among the dwarves. Shortly thereafter, the elves mysteriously vanished, leaving no trace of their existence for millennia.

Story

At the campaign's outset, Netero stumbled upon a note in the street from someone recruiting for an expedition in search of an elven artifact. Driven by a desire to uncover the fate of his people and find answers, Netero joined the group, forming close bonds with three companions along the way. Their journey led them to the discovery of a powerful elven device, culminating in an encounter with Netero's sister, Leina. Leina revealed that, despite being despised by many elves, she had held on to the hope that Netero would seek redemption. She implored him to hand over the device, so the elves could return to the world and enslave the other races. Netero refused, and a fierce battle ensued. Recognizing Leina's immense power and the gravity of the situation, Netero made the ultimate sacrifice—bestowing his god-given power, which had sustained his life for so long, upon his allies to ensure their victory. Once Leina was defeated, Netero aged rapidly, his life slipping away in the blink of an eye.

Thank you!!!

Hey duuude, this is so catchy and groovy! Bouncy while elegant. I enjoy the choice and rhythm of percussion and guitar keeping time. My desire for smooth transitions leaves me wondering if both bass drum and crash cymbals was a bit heavy for 1:50 specifically, but it's a stylistic choice. I was surprised to hear solo cello to my left, which gives me the idea to do balcony/off-stage strings, but I digress. This is super solid and fun!

Everratic responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the rhythms :)

I get what you mean about 1:50. I tried removing the bass drum and cymbal but it didn't feel right so I put it back in. It's a difficult transition to deal with.

After hearing his theme, I DEFINITITELY wished I met this guy while he was alive. This is such a complex piece of art, all the different pieces of the composition sounding in harmony, the palpable storytelling in each section... ahhh I always love hearing new stuff from you, and it gets even better when I get that feeling of, despite not knowing what you'll make next, I'm going to like it regardless. I really look up to the production skills of yourself and a select bunch of people from this page, and I hope I can learn more from everyone since I still have a lot to learn. Definitely a winner of this round. Cheers!

Everratic responds:

Thank you so much! This review means a lot to me. I feel the same way about your music :)

(I know I'm repeating what I said in DMs but I didn't want to leave this review unreplied)

Very interesting story, and very good music! Fits perfectly!

Everratic responds:

Thank you!

Everratic responds:
