It's calm and great like that! The drums are "breakbeat-like" which I like alot! Your choice of melody in this one is very catchy. Din din din din didin din ... ^^
A friend of mine recently had a look at my music and told me they really liked some of my older electronic sounding tracks like Singularity (https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1054614) and Dreamer Shuffle (https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1114932). I took another go at that type of style and genre with a newer twist. I knew from the beginning I wanted glitchy drums. I wanted to avoid doing my standard strings spiel since I've been doing that for years. I instead wanted to lean into that synth-y sound and used synth strings plus my own singing (how's my falsetto by the way) to create my usual dreamy 'feel', plus adding some glitches onto my voice to spice things up.
I'm happy with how it turned out. At a certain point a couple weeks ago I was ready to release it, but I felt the drums were too loud so I had to tone them down a tiny bit. Mastering and mixing this one was kind of difficult. I found that I was struggling the most with figuring out which instruments needed a boost in the mix. Overall, I'm really happy with what I've done and the mish-mash of live instruments (my voice included) mixed in with the synths.
Hopefully you enjoyed my little commentary on how the song was done, I feel like the journey is almost as good as the destination when writing music, so I'm more than happy to let you guys in on the magic of music production.
Headphones are recommended. Thank you for listening.

Had the melody stuck in my head for like months before I knew what to do with it. Glad you liked it!
