my friend let me fiddle with his midi keyboard so I decided to record myself improvising in FL studio...its my first time ever recording and mind you I don't play piano so it mostly sucks. i also change key a few times. There's some clipping in here as well despite me trying to compress it....so SORRY. Enjoy or not ^____^

I love piano play this one is really great can I suggest for you to do something like "sadness and sorrow by Naruto" ? i love that beat I think you can do something really cool with it too ! Would you mind giving it a try?

S3C responds:

you reviewed my first submission! nice1. I'll check out the naruto song and we'll see what happens. thanks for the review!

There's no need to be sorry. You did pretty well. Sometimes, making music does not have to be that perfect. Nobody is perfect. We just do what is best.
Keep up the great work!

S3C responds:

Thank you!
I agree, music doesnt need to be "perfect". as long as you're not taking any tests. :P

unfortunately, i'll be far off that mark from an upcoming piano exam in 2 weeks -_-

Very nice

I love classical piano, and this just floated my boat. Excellent timing and ability to move a song along. ANd the song stucture was sublime. I did find the recording quailtiy isn't that great and doesn't do the song justice. I'd like to see it recompressed :P But yes for someone who doesn't play piano, it's an amazing peice

S3C responds:

hey thanks a lot. glad you liked the song structure, i personally thought it lacked direction but I guess the improvisational ideas didnt turn out to bad eh?

This a very cool peice, all the sounds seem to echo and collide with each other throughout the track, the piano is very cool and has a cathedraly feeling to it, mainly because of the echo.
This could of had more instruments apart from piano to give it a bit more variation but apart from that it was cool.

not exactly an echo, its reverb :P thanks for the review

Tinged with sadness

This piece is quite evocative, as it brings home certain emotional parts of my recent life closer to home flooding back to me. I'm always looking for tunes that can do it, as they are very helpful with the healing process. Thank you for sharing it with us.

On that token, I could have done with a lighter part at the end, just to show us, symbolically, that even though these are dark times in which we live, there will be better things to come if we just stick it out and carry on through the bad.

I think that you could have used some strings to liven this piece up, but I like the way that this piece is a raw, unedited tune, that you have given us. Now I've given you the suggestion of how to take it further for the next incarnation :)

S3C responds:

hey, glad both parts worked for you. I thought it was the downfal off this piece actually, but glad someone could enjoy it.

thanks for the review
