This is the first time I've tried to make something kind of... real-sounding through a digital medium. I'm generally pleased with this one, although I'm a little disappointed at myself for using such a simple chord progression. I think the drum section more than makes up for it in some bits, though.

I think it's a cute, mellow little piece (albeit a tad stark), and I hope you enjoy it.

As for the Indie thing, I don't think it belongs in ambient or rock, and it's not really any kind of techno, and the Miscellaneous section tends toward the eccentric-- or so it seems. This is none of those, so... yes, this will have to go under Indie.

P.S.-- If you're gonna vote on it, please review it while you're at it. I need critique.

I crave it.

No votes and 22 listens? For shame.

The piano could have used some effects to avoid sounding digital. The bass sounded a tad bit distorted, but eh, don't mind it really, and it's probably just me.

The repetitiveness is what kills this song. It sounds pretty and all, but it's just the same thing over and over again, needs variation, mate. Adding a melody would have helped the song tremendously. Voting 4 to make up for the lack of votes, but I'd give a 3.

DeusExMagna responds:

Thanks, man! I might go back to this one here soon and resubmit it later this coming week. I agree that the piano is a tad jagged, but that can be fixed easily enough. The bass, on the other hand, was supposed to be a little distorted, but in retrospect I didn't quite achieve what I'd set out to do with it-- the bassline, that is.

I might record a live guitar track later on, just to fill the song out. I figure that could be rather interesting. Maybe even some vocals-- hell, why not?

Okay, getting ahead of myself. Thanks for the review! If you're interesting, there might be a newer version here next week.
