I really like the bass line / drum beat in this one (I'm not 100% thrilled with the top organ melody, but it's cool - I downloaded it so I could chop out a couple of the beats and possibly remix it assuming that's cool).
I just have one question, in downloading it and opening it in cooledit, I noticed that it clips a LOT. How the hell does it sound so clean when the audio is supposed to be really distorted?
you can sample any of my stuff good sir.
as for the clipping issue im not sure.
i usually mix stuff down louder that i should, but it shouldnt be doing that.
something to do with when i converted it to mp3 prehaps?
i can send you the original wav. file if you like, pm me
I hear some Kid A influence in this one.
And I love it! My only complaint is the drums are a little too loud. Other than that, nice job.
thanks for the review!
i dont know who kid a is, but im probably influenced by someone who is influenced by him. or one of his influences
A smooth semijazzy experimental track, I love the base in this, it's heavy. Great soft rythem too and progressive additions all the way through. It flows together nicely, and it sure sounds unique as well, keep up the great work!
this piece is great! I loved the Tribal-style drumbeat with the organ and the piano part. The melody is great and blends perfectly with the rhythm and the theme, making this very groovy and with a great swing. The ending is also very "jungle-style", if I can call it this way. The only problem (if It is really one)is that the birdsong could be a little louder but exept that this piece is very balanced and well-made, with all it's elements in very beautiful harmony. Congratulations and I wish you the best!
thanks loads for the review:)
Very nice! I love the strong beat. The melody was cool too, I was grooving to the synths. Perhaps make the birdsong a tad louder and the ending fade-out slightly shorter and it would be perfect.
thanks for the review- you're right it does go on a bit at the end :)
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
