I wrote this song a while ago, probably should have submitted it a long time ago, but I forgot :P

My friend needed some relaxing music, so I whipped her up something quickly, and this turned out a lot better than I thought it would, hence why I am submitting.

Please vote and review this if you have the time, and drop the name of a song if you want me to review back

Thanks for listening

Excellent choice of voices

I love the quieter scratchy industrial perc, and then when the louder perc comes in with the snare, ohhh, so nice.

all the sounds have different qualities, which often I would say makes the piece sound fragmented... but these all work together. the pad and synth going around in the background, the perc, and then the vibes.

gets a little repetitive around 3:00, you could've probably used the vibe variation about 10 seconds sooner. then again, repetition is good for the relaxation.

outro is alright, but could be much improved. I'd've dropped the most "violent" percs, the kicks and snares, for the outro, and just had the more treble run perc going, and I'd fade it. as good percussion as that was, when I'm falling alseep to ambience, it's nice to just slide off into sleep. if it did fade, it would be perfect at the end of a sleeping CD. put that on, only play it once, and then if you're not asleep by the end, you'll slide off soon after.

Of course, that's getting a bit utilitarian.

other than that, no real problems with it. Love the vibes.

I loved working with percussion. I have never written drums like this before. I will write drums like this in the future though, I was very pleased how they turned out.

I don't quite understand what you mean by fragmented :P

I had a lot of trouble with ending this song, that's why the ending sucks :P

This song was designed to help relax a friend of mine, because she wassn't sleeping well.

Thanks for the review man

Much love :P

Once again, you have delivered. It has everything. Great balance, a smooth, relaxing melodies, and my favorite thing of all, no damn quarter-note kicks. I honestly can't believe this song isn't more popular. And I know I'm going to sound like a hypocrite, but because of the genre, and since the song ended before it actualy ended, then the fade out would have worked perfectly here, if you had faded out the drums. Because all you are left with is the sound of the drums at the end, which is alright, but it's not really the last thing I want to hear, at least not that loud. This is the only thing I could find "wrong", but it sounds great anyways. Still in my top three favorite artist list.

Could you review, well, all of my stuff? I only have three songs, Astral Eclipse, The Deep, and Western Gun. It's all pretty experimantal, especially the last one, and I realy need some good old fasioned critisicm to help me get better. I would really appreciate it : )

And boredom is the best time to write music.
No distractions.
