The inspiration for this melody and simplistic drum sequence came from watching D-Grayman and other associated anime. I had imagined this particular scene after I completed this melody.

The darkness of the scene lifts gradually to reveal a young man of his early twenties standing atop a grassy hill. A warm light ripples across the dew ridden blades of grass; his figure becomes visible. His blood stained katana glimmers a soft crimson within the light as his eyes stare into the distance of the rising sun. His heart aches for the comforts of his wife and child. War is all he has known for several years and he has not seen his family since. He wanders if they might remember him if they could see him now; how big his son has become and if the long years have taken the beauty of his bride. Do they hate him for not returning to see them? Will they welcome him into their lives once more? His mind races as the morning sun caresses his face. How forgiving this morning is; as if to redeem his entire being of sin and wrong doing. Repentance, forgiveness, love and peace were all he wanted. This light granted him all within its rising unwavering glow. A smile forms upon his lips; maybe they will wait a bit longer for this solider who is tired and worn. He sighs softly as the light ascends him along with its sun. He will be whole and find all that he yearned for. He turns to face his dying body as he is pulled into heavens gates.

Within the distance of his home a soft wind sweeps his wife and child who are working within the fields. They both stare into the rising sun. Within the wind a gentle whisper wisps past their ears. "I will wait for you both within this tranquil place. Here in heaven." They smile softly as the scene fades.

Good News!

I like watching D-Grayman too, I liked the melody too, and I like the imagery that you've provided. It does fit the scene you just described.

(You knew it was never this simple right? :P)

It's repetitive, esp for those who have selective vision - those who just skip everything that looks remotely like a text. For the lack of variation, I'm sorry, but it does take away quite a bit of points.
