God damn, I need 3 screenshots to show what I am doing here... So basically I made this in a very short period of time ;o and I am quite proud of what I have accomplished. I got heavily inspired by artists such as Crystal Castles, Ladytron, and @oneheartofficial. Really wanted to get that low-res grungy and moody aesthetic while getting on some 2000s-inspired nuances. I used a bunch of cool effects such as delay, comb filter, trance gate, and pitch shifter. I like to imagine that this song is about being drugged with love, that there's some witchery going on. Also I do think of continuing this sort of genre. But I don't think of releasing stuff like that as LordAndiso. I wish to create a group of some kind because I alone wouldn't like to go looking for singers.. For this song, i just used a loop that sounds completely different. Basically, I made someone sing something completely different. Quite happy how it turned out. As for the mix.. The mastering I usually do on my songs doesn't really fit.. so I didn't really bother.. maybe a defect could be used as an effect. I am quite surprised that I did this in one evening and one go... the morning after I just tidied it up a bit. Insane.

I like the phasing synth and quirky percussion at the beginning. Super catchy and creepy content here - it’s starting to sound like Halloween already! The piece is a bit slow to progress, but the rich atmosphere and rhythmic content help keep me engaged. The drums get a tad buried in the mix at times, although otherwise the production holds up rather well. My main complaint here is probably the lack of variety, especially early on, although the breakdown at 2:36 does help break up the quirky, energetic sections a bit. There’s a good point of arrival at 3:08, and overall you hit the piece home well. Aspects of the chord progression are a bit generic here, but that’s surely counterbalanced by the experimental texture. Overall, this is a really creative and evocative piece, LordAndiso. Still not sure if it’s supposed to be a nightmare or a daydream, but that’s probably a good thing. Keep it up! ^_^

Thank you soo much :D As always... this keeps me super motivated :3
I didn't expect to like this so much, you did a great job keeping it interesting :>
:D I am making more of this rn.. I got really hooked on music like this! Thank you soo much :3
I love what you've done with that loop. I like to do it myself -- sentence mixing, changing the melody. I'm always wowed with the weirdness of your compositions. You're a real character in the DAW!
I think the mix of this could use some more refinement, but it has a very olskool chill vibe to it that I appreciate so much. Takes me back in time almost. I will sum up mix critique in short
The blips, bleeps and anything off majority in one channel could stand to come down in the mix a bit, while snare could use pushing up and perhaps some gated reverb feel to it. Your hihats could probably use a bit of transient shaping and stereo play. Sidechain more obvious than any that has been applied would help for big sections. I'd also like to see even more dynamic contrast between verse and drop. The build at 3 min is a perfect example of what I mean -- it's well done and brings us to a satisfying chorus.
I think a more aggressive, centered bass with more pronounced high mid and sub would really tie this together, as well as a kick with a bit of grit. By the end, this is well and truly stuck in my head. Beautiful work. Thank you!
I find this melody catchy aswell :D It got stuck in my head too!! Although when I listened to this on my earbuds.. I really heard the bleep in my right ear.. it was very annoying.. I have no idea how i didn't hear it in my headphone monitors.. I will probably invest in monitors soon.
As always, thank you soo much! I am very happy that you liked it :)
