Groovy! I can definitely hear the Cave Story inspiration, but it still sounds original and cool. It sounds a little silly but that's perfectly fitting for the theme of cats haha. I think it's the warbly instruments/fast modulation. The melody is very nice and also has a curious feel to it. Also the art is cool! Keep up the great work :D

I had the idea to make a silly little metroidvania based around cats but I never got around to it
