...or just "Zero" as it's named in the original. Anyways, done and done and done! Finally! :D

After a damn long time in the works, this tune finally got it's third and last revival. I made my first cover of this in late 2005 when I just started with recording...to be honest, it sounded like crap. The second version was sligthly better but still not good enough for me. So in late 2007, over two years after the very first recording of this, I finally decided to make a third and last arrangement. Wanna compare this version to the old version? Yeah? Then have a big laugh...

With this piece I present a remix of this very memorable Theme of Zero, if not the best Theme of the hole X series for him. It's not just the original melody, nono, it's a story to be told. Imagen the two heroes facing each other in the battle that was meant to be from the start.

The fight begins with the original melody, which is going right under the skin of retro-lovers such as myself. ;) After 30 seconds of nostalgie the actual remix sets in. Both made their first strike and for a second, the toms take out a little bit of the climax before the fight continues. From 0:30 - 0:52 it's a random fight in the room, they both deal damage to each other before taking their stances again for a short moment at 0:53. After that, the fight continues in an even heavier and more heroic way. The chinas and cymbals crashing indicate each time they clash together. At 1:22 X is thinking about the fight and back when he and Zero became friends. Not wanting the fight but still knowing he has to do it, X deals some heavy damage to Zero from 1:33 - 1:45. The last segment of the song describes the final attack of X, which defeats Zero...

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it! Review and vote if you like what you've heard! \m/

Credits as well to my good man Xenogenocide who provided the original drum template for this. Thanks buddy! :)

I VOTE TEH 5 AND 10 FOR IT IS MORE THAN WORTHY! I bow down to the computer screen and speakers.

DarKsidE555 responds:

OMG, you shouldn't them overdo it man! D:

In any case, glad you enjoyed it that much! TEH 5 is very much appreciated! :D

Rock on bro! METAL 4 life! \m/

I came.

First of all, it rocked even with my sub woofer off. Let me just say that. The mixing is flawless and since my sub was off I didn't care that I didn't hear bass. Now, let me turn my sub on to be blown away.

Sure enough, With my sub-woofer activated, I began to love it even more. Sure, the bass is sort of down in the mix, but I can hear it and I know it's there. Regardless of that I reallyl realy relaly enjoyed this remix, because of the story you set behind it. Great job, and I hope that you continue to improve.

DarKsidE555 responds:

LoL, nice. Glad you liked the story as well. It was just something I came up with when I re-wrote the tune. I know, not very original for that fight but those are the scenes I imagen when I adapt the tune to the fight. Anyways, glad you liked it man and thanks for da review! ;D

I'm speechless! This is hands-down your best cover Megaman X cover! The new melodies and solos are great additions to your already awesome cover! Can't wait to hear more from you! Rock on!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Haha, thanks buddy. Glad you enjoyed it! More is on the way, you know it best! ;)

Oooooh, I don't know what to think...

i'm all for hating music as heavy as this, buuuuut, this doesn't have any one screaming into a microphone and is indeed well composed so i'll let ya off with a nine, and it is fairly kick ass, like you said it would be. Anyways, it was varied, and didn't just have no story behind the changes, I like the explaining, it means the song actually makes sense for me, yay for DarKsidE! Hugs for DarKsidE!

Hammerypart says: Whew, writing a review i'm happy with is getting harder than it looks, I guess i need to start practicing again... Cya 'round!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Oh, didn't knew about that man. sry. Though, glad you could overlook the fact this time. :)

Thanks for checking it out man!

Fantastic Cover!

Wow, this blew me away. Absolutely epic; kinda sounds like the world is ending and it's f**king glorious every step of the way. I would love to see someone do a flash video to this... you know, provided they could do this piece some justice.

My only suggestion would be to add some thick and chunky bass guitar in there at some point. It's fine without it... no, it's great without it. But maybe as an experiment, you know? I take it that you are exclusively a guitarist (I apologize if that's not the case - I still love your work, regardless), but I think it might be worth it to grab someone with a bass guitar and see what you can do.

Again, not a criticism or complaint - more of a preference, you might say. In any case, I love your stuff. It really gets the old blood flowing!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Bass? LoL...actually...there is some bass in there but it's not that strong how I wanted it to be. That's because of the equipment. :/ Though, I think this little problem will be over with my next buy. >:}

Apart from that, thanks for the kick ass review man. I sure do appreciate critique, hell constructive critisism is what we all should go for! Also, if somebody would make a flash for this...I would cum all over the place because of joy! :D

Thanks yet again for checking! ;)
