LYRICS
Verse 1
Don't walk away,
I love the way your hair just seems to sway,
The way the world around us fades to gray,
Tell me do you feel alive,
One thing I must say,
Your eyes are like a sword cutting through the fray,
of all the love that is taken for granted today,
But please don't be shy,
Chorus 1
Shall I take you for another ride? (Decisions, decisions)
Will you go with me to the edge of time? (Decisions, decisions)
Can I see the world looking through your eyes? (Decisions, decisions)
Am I yours? Will you tell me you are mine? (Decisions, decisions)
Verse 2
Can you see a change,
the way the world seems to run against the grain,
our lives are led consistently to claim,
anything that isn't ours,
But I see you,
through the light, the dark, the red, the black and blue,
guide me to the dance floor then we're through,
the only thing that matters is you,
Chorus 2
Shall I take you for another ride? (Decisions, decisions)
Will you go with me to the edge of time? (Decisions, decisions)
Can I see the world looking through your eyes? (Decisions, decisions)
Am I yours? Will you tell me you are mine? (Decisions, decisions)
Bridge:
Don't, stop and go, pull me slowly into your stare, And then let go,
Between the lines that show, are the souls of those that left me alone,
Chorus 3
Shall I take you for another ride? (Decisions, decisions)
Will you go with me to the edge of time? (Decisions, decisions)
Can I see the world looking through your eyes? (Decisions, decisions)
Am I yours? Will you tell me you are mine? (Decisions, decisions)
Are You Mine?
This was one of those songs I had started working out the melody in my head, then I took the melody to the studio and built a song around it. I had just made another Poppier song so we wanted to keep the song dancy, but make it a little bit darker. This is one of my favorite songs I've written.
