Where did you find these instruments, please? The beat reminds me a bit of Goukisan's "Betrayal of Fear".
Chiptune's a bit intimidating to me, but I've been meaning to dive in for a long time. This was just meant as a quick piece, but it took a lot of messing around to get the synths to a point I was okay with. Digging into the arrangement minutiae is a deep, deep rabbit hole.
Pretty much just had Toby's stuff on the mind - deceptively simple in theory, but very precise and deliberately crafted in every moment of all of his music. No clue how he does it!
Doesn't loop because of the intro, but I included one full repeat of the tune.
2 Frontpages in a row, thank you NG audio team :')

Hey, thanks! The synths are all from Famisynth 2, which is kinda old. You can find it on mu-station (hyphen is necessary) now, though I'm not sure if it works on Mac or not. I only ever used it on my Windows machine. There's a tiny bit of layered stuff from Impact Soundwork's Super Audio Cart (you can sub in some SNES or Genesis sampler instead), and the drums are from Roland's Sound Canvas VA. I'd mostly focus on Famisynth if you're wondering about the meat of this track :)
Absolutely love this! Really fun melodies, and I absolutely love that Roland drumkit! :)
Much appreciated! Thanks for showing it to me and giving some tricks!
dont like the loop at 1:19 it's like starting again I like how you managed to make it different
Yeah I thought it was too short to just have it play one time lol
sounds like a Deltarune sub-boss fight
Glad it does! I love Toby's music so it's been a long time coming that I tried something sort of like that
man i wish this was on spotify could listen to it all day.
Hmm, true... gotta work that out still
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
