Bro's already a master a guitar and he just dropping lvl 99 chiptune?!
Seriously tho this is really good. 8-bit/chiptune limits do make it harder
than people may think.
Hey, it's been a mo, and here's a piece I wrote as a challenge as well as for school!
So, in school I'm taking a music production class, and one of the assignments is to write a piece in the style of something else. I had the idea from the start to write something without guitar and the more I thought about it, an 8-bit piece would be great. So I pulled out Magical 8-bit Plug and just got to work! Worth noting this is as close to TRUE 8-bit as possible. All these 8-bit covers or songs you hear are great but, they're not true 8-bit. To be true to the NES or other 8-bit consoles, you need to make it using no more than 4 sounds at once... that's really limiting, maybe that's why people don't do that. Nevertheless, it was a good challenge to make a piece using no more than 4 sounds. I think it lent well to some pretty cool writing!
I'm not sure where I'm going to take this, and I know it's like a forty second loop. I don't really intend to do anything too crazy with it. If you want a loopable version for a game or something, feel free to ask me, I suppose. I don't have a ton of attachment to this anyway!

This is probably the review that's made me feel the best about my compositions! Thank you so much! This track was sitting as one of my lowest rated on NG for a little while, and I get why, but again, from you, it means a lot!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
