Awesome composition and feeling.
Whew. This was a tricky one.
Like with yesterday, I wanted to keep today's Jamuary track short and sweet. I actually have a really tight deadline when I make these tracks, so finding ways to create quality soundscapes efficiently is something I want to focus on during this event. I feel like this track might be a little filler-y, but it DID give me an excuse to practice my keyboard programming, which is something I'd definitely like to do more of during this event. So this is probably the audio equivalent of a pre-workout stretch. I dunno.
I like how the pad synth turned out though, it was fun actually diving into my synthesizer's toolkit and becoming acquainted with some of the features. I know they may look like really complex control boards full of jargon and knobs and buttons, but I cannot stress this enough: If you're still using default presets on your synths, you need to start learning how your tools work. Make your own presets! PLAY with your instruments! Learn where all them cool sounds come from so you can make your own! Do this and I guarantee you: your music will come out sounding exponentially better, and it will feel exponentially more like YOURS.
