I've been working the last few days to organize a small folder of old WIPs to finish for Droid's Jamuary event but The Long Road Ahead was one of several files built up from scratch to try to get the month off to a good start. One song a day for a month, let's do this. Intro and outro vocal samples are my own voice recorded for L-DW's NGADM 22 podcast, go give that a listen to hear the DeathMatch finalists talk about their work. The "nice" from the drop is probably Psycho Goldfish via an old Nerwgrounds podcast with MilkyPossum. The guy that says "bum" is Two-Chains from the super trashy Birthday Song. The "bum" and "yeah" samples from Birthday Song are old favorites of mine, don't tell the sample police D:

Last year I kept all my Jamuary song titles to the theme of "Don't Give Up Until It Is Over," with the song titles slowly unfolding a subtle kidnapping story and family reunion. I doubt I'll do anything as complicated this year, the song title this time was simply referencing the flurry of work I'm about to endure for literally no reason what so ever. Mix could always be better but I want to let this Jamuary be as stress free as possible, one song a day means not everything is gonna be good along the way. Cheers!
