This is fantastic! I've never heard the harpsichord used to such an epic degree. Just from first impressions of this one song, it sounds like the whole album will be fantastic. I'll have to check it out.
Add this song and you to fav artists. Fantastic.
Starts out with some guitar/claw stuff, then slowly grows in intensity- and then, a slow but intense BAM! And I'm all "whoa, how'd he do that? :O:O, that's talent". It evolves into a fantastic landscape of sound, with amazing melodies and arrangements of that orchestra, it's really something unique and wonderful.
Stunning, amazing, it has a much more professional sound than I'd expect would come to newgrounds. Really, I just feel like praising it more and more :D
Fav'd, 10'd, 5'd.
It may not be entirely original but WOW! you have done an amazing job!! I love this! i really like the harpsichord at the beginning! you really have done a fantastic job! it takes alt to be able to create such an emotional piece! This really shows what modern classical pieces can achieve! i think that classical pieces are seriously under rated! and i cant wait to hear more of your work!
I don't find myself listening to classical often... But when I find a piece like this I have to stop and say "wow!" This is simply amazing. The emotions that are given off in a classical piece are unmatched by other forms of music. You've done well... Very well! Keep up the great work, and I believe I'll be checking in on your future works because of this one. Awesome mallets, and such.
I've been thinking about getting into classical, but 1) I don't have the tools necessary for it, and 2) I don't have enough patience to create a piece with enough emotion.
Awesome work, 10/10 5/5
Keep it up. love the melody and the crashes and everything just perfect. Almost sounds live.
Hey, thanks for the review, but just remember - this is not 100% original, it is based off the original piece for NES, which was 8-bit technology. The original song, "Vampire Killer," from the 1987 game Castlevania, had only 3 channels and was fairly straightforward in comparison, so I've taken a lot of creative liberties. Since the original there have been many other remixes too, in lots of styles from jazz to rock. I was yet to hear a full-fledged symphonic version, so I did it myself.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
