Pyrrhic Punctuality

Author Comments

This is a fairly dark and dreary piece about Pyrrhic punctuality (whatever that means to you ;), but there are some lighter sections, just like in life. A two-minute section of it near the beginning is actually my old submission "Fall of Grace". I'd always planned to expand it, but couldn't find the inspiration for the longest time.

I know that it's pretty long, and this being Newgrounds, most people won't listen to the whole thing. For those who just wish to skip to the "fast" section, it starts at about 4:50...

Reviews are highly encouraged (especially from the zero-voters, you cowards).

Esn responds:

Um... thanks?...

I don't understand what you tried to say, though. Could you send me a PM to explain it?

Is that an Oboe near the beginning? I wish I could make something that sounds as beautiful as this... It reminds me of Richard Vagner (sorry if I misspelled his name) it is very good... bravo...

Esn responds:

Wagner. Thanks for the review.

The instrumentation is: piano, euphonium, violin. No oboe, sorry. :p

this is a nice classic piece nice work!

Esn responds:

Thanks. Not the most thorough review but I'll take what I can get. ;p

By the way, please don't review and vote "0" on a submission if you can't hear any sound, especially if other people have given it a "10" already. Chances are that there's something wrong with your speakers, and it's not a very nice thing to do, particularly because you're at level 13 and your vote counts more than those of most other users. (I'm talking of course about your review of "Moving on..." by "farmin").

Nice and simple. Sound is a bit dim, but otherwise it's all good, very musical, nice tune. Keep it up!

Esn responds:

Thanks. I'm a bit unsure of what other people's speaker arrangements are like, so I don't know what an "acceptable" sound level is. It sounded OK on my end. Which particular "tune" do you have in mind? ;)

This would've been a more helpful review if you had honestly said what you didn't like, though. Obviously it wasn't "all" good, or your score would've been a "10".
